Not Happy....

Today, we had what was to be a follow-up/evaluation/ hearing test with the ENT doctor. Turns out that Miss Jillian has yet another bilateral ear infection. With an appointment for 3:40PM, we were told to be there for 3:25PM. I left work early and came prepared with our new patient forms downloaded and filled out prior to our appointment. We arrived promptly at 3:25 and then had to wait 1 1/2 hours before we were seen.

Now, we have yet another round of antibiotics - this time supplemented with a nasal spray for ten days! After antibiotics, we have to continue with the nasal spray and make all new appointments for a new hearing test and yet another follow-up with the ENT doctor. And, tubes are not yet ruled out. So, my sweet baby girl is not a happy camper about being poked and held down for ear, nose and throat inspections!

What scares us is that Jillian must have a very high tolerance for pain, and, she does not present any symptoms to indicate that she's having a problem with her ears. It's either that, or, she was conditioned to tolerate pain in an orphanage setting. I don't know quite what to think.

All I know is that she goes on day to day as a happy baby. No, make that toddler!! Playful, smiling, giggling, sociable, happy and hungry!! Also, today Jillian says: "Up", and knows what it means!!

Poor Jillian.
She is still very cute even when crying!
Its probably a good thing that she has such a high pain tolerance. Ears hurt!

I am very sorry for your 1 1/2 hour wait, with a baby no less.
I hate to wait at Dr's offices. Had to wait 1 hour today at the eye doc for my daughter Loren and was about ready to scream!

Hope things get sorted out!
