Up on the Pediatric Floor....

...We waited to be called to the O.R.

Roaming around.....

....the O.R. and Recovery Room as we waited to get prepared for surgery.
And wondering what in the world was going on!! Not quite sure what to make of things!

Poor Baby....

...Looking for comfort.
Of course, Mommy was a wreak after Jillian went into the operating room and got lots of comforting hugs from her friends in the O.R. as well as Daddy!!
We went down to get some coffee while waiting for Jillian to come out of the O.R., and were immediately summoned back to the recovery room as Jillian was already awake and the procedure over!!
As we approached the doors to the O.R., we could hear Jillian crying out quite loudly for "Mommy"!!!

Tubes in place. Lots of very thick fluid in Jillian's ears - probably in there since she was born. Had to use butterfly type tubes. They tried the other tubes first and found they were not staying in place. They were already falling out as Jillian's eardrum was very thin and the ear canal very narrow. Some scar tissue was found, however, will not present any hearing problems!! Yippee!!! Most likely there wiil be some discomfort today. And, already we think she can hear better!! Continue with antibiotic drops for 7 - 10 days. Follow up with ENT doctor 7 - 10 days. And be careful not to get water in her ears.

Still very attached to wearing the hospital gowns!!

Looks like we'll be going home still dressed for surgery!!

After some comfort....

We went back to our room on Peds.
We were ready to roam around.
We tried to change back into our own clothing,
and found that we were ADAMANTLY attached to the hospital gowns!!

Still a little upset...

...however, getting better!

Still refusing to change into her own clothes!!

Once at home...

We had some lunch.

...and took some comfort from Elmo!!
And, we were still very atttached to wearing the hospital gowns!!
