Snow Day!

In all the years of my adult life before Jillian came into our lives, snow was a huge source of major stress often with worries of traveling in it, shoveling it, and worrying that my dad would insist on going out to shovel before I got there to prevent him from doing so.

I think that this was the very first time that I was able to have such a fun, carefree time in the snow since I was a child!!  Debra too for that matter!!

With daycare closed, Debra, Jillian and I had a snow day.

Well, what else do you do in a blizzard??

With 14 inches of snow!!

It's time to build a Snowman of course!!

And, what fun it was!!

Last year, Jillian did not want to know that snow existed! She hated it!

This year was a complete turn around!! She just loved it!!

She was a little unsteady at first, and quickly got the hang of it!!

It was time for Debra, Jillian And I to get to work!!

Let it snow....

Back to the pediatrician today...

.... to follow up from the ear infection.

The left tube is still not visible.

It could have migrated..... It could have fallen out...

Don't know.

The infection is cleared up, and there is still fluid in Jillian's ear.

I was able to speak to the ENT doctor while in the OR today, so we'll be making an appointment to be seen next week. We are so lucky to have access to our doctors almost on a daily basis even if it's for peace of mind and reassurance.


Lucky that there is always someone around to ask advice!

So, we'll have to see what the next step will be when we follow up with the ENT doctor.

We're all still sharing this lousy cold!!

And, poor Jillian has ANOTHER ear infection!!

Yes!  She had tubes placed in her ears.  The permanent ones too.  The ones to be removed when the doctor says it's time to take them out.

Problem is :  we don't see the tube in her left ear.  Why??!!  Don't know if it's because of the ear infection... or wax... We just have to wait until next week.  After we finish a round of antibiotics and/or we follow up with the ENT doctor.

I am so worried that she'll have to have another surgery!

To top things off, we have a physical scheduled for my sister, as well as, the usual mammogram and a routine sonogram scheduled to follow up from her gyn  exam all in the same week.

No picnic there, let me tell you.

Her disabilities make things a tad bit more difficult to complete these tasks.

God bless my co-workers who have the patience, the ability and the talent to deal with these issues!

They are very SPECIAL people!!

It takes so much of the little time that I have just to make sure everyone else is taken care of medically before I can schedule my own medical visits!!
Oh well.....one of these days......

In the meantime, some Jillian FUN to hold you over!!  And, yes, I still have to update Miss Jillian on Project Jillian 365 too!!  All those funny, sweet beautiful photos from each and every day are just waiting to be posted!!
